In Forest of Dean, Glos
This little sweetheart is looking for a special home – just 11 mths old, Lilly is a very sweet and mellow character. Weighing just 11kg, Lilly may look like a small collie, yet her character is more like a chilled out, sofa loving Greyhound! Lilly is initially shy to make friends yet once she gets to know you she loves to have cuddles and snuggles – Lilly is a cheerful yet docile and calm youngster, wonderful with other dogs and people – she just needs someone to love her. She is also good with children although would probably not like roughhouse play, so would not be a good choice for young children who are looking for a playmate.
Lilly has such a fantastic character, with her sweet personality making her a fine choice as a companion dog. She is a thinker and looks deeply at you with questioning eyes, she simply melts your heart! She is highly intelligent and trainable, gentle, laid-back and loving, yet she is being undervalued because of her reserved behaviour towards people she doesn’t know. Once she gets to know you, she will be sure to become deeply devoted to her family. With her sensitive, timid nature, Lilly would not respond well to harsh discipline, she would likely collapse! so she would do best with someone who is gentle and calm, yet possesses an air of natural authority, preferably living somewhere rural and quiet. Lilly absolutely adores her training treats and would probably enjoy various training activities including games.
Lilly appears to be excited by deer scent, so likely has some prey-drive, however with her love of tasty training treats we feel sure she can be easily trained to ignore wildlife. She has not been tested with cats, yet with her gentle, calm nature, we anticipate she could be easily trained to leave cats and other small pets in the home alone.
Inside the house, Lilly is calm and quiet to the point where she might even be considered lazy, yet outside she is full of surprises, and livens up, trotting along daintily, very interested in scents and her surroundings and even breaking into a run from time to time. This little girl is just a dream, she is so incredibly sweet, she will be sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Lilly has been raised on a natural raw diet (e.g. K9Raw.co.uk) for improved health and longevity so we would like to see this diet continued in her new home as she loves it so much! Her successful adopter must also have an existing friendly resident dog.

** We are just a very small team here in the UK, so we are currently only able to consider adopters from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire, North Somerset and South Wales due to the practicalities of journey times for post-adoption back-up and support. We apologise if this leads to disappointment, however we have found through experience that more local adoptions do not overstretch our limited resources. Thank you for your understanding!
