Dogs for Adoption or Forever Foster – Location West Wales
Maggie and Kaya are two adorable bonded female seniors, who have lived together their whole lives, and are therefore looking for a forever home together.
Born 2012-2013 they are both currently 9 years old, and although incredibly fit and healthy (on walks people guess their age as 2-3 years), finding a home for two dogs of this age together is an impossible dream, so they are available for both adoption or fostering under our Forever Foster Scheme, where we pay all of their food and medical bills; all the family have to do is provide a loving forever home, and cherish them and cuddle them for us!
They are both cuddle monsters; Kaya is full on ‘cuddle me’, whereas Maggie is a bit more reserved, and will give a subtle paw tap to ask for a tummy rub. They both love their walks out and about, they walk nicely on a lead and are very social, adored by all who meet them.
These adorable girls are very social and polite, yet could do with some off-lead training – we totally believe in force-free training and love Tamar Geller‘s Loved Dog Method of teaching so highly recommend her books and podcasts for training.
Maggie and Kaya were both originally found separately as abandoned youngsters in Bulgaria, yet were adopted into the same home in 2013 where they have lived together ever since. Through no fault of their own, their family circumstances suddenly changed and so were returned to our sanctuary in West Wales under our Full Rescue Back Up For Life scheme.
Holistic Rawfeeding Rescue
We are a holistic rawfeeding rescue, so as with all our rescue dogs and puppies for adoption, Maggie and Kaya are being fed a natural raw diet for improved health and longevity. Their food is purchased and delivered frozen, so their family would need to make provision for freezer space for their food!
As a rawfeeding rescue, we ask that this diet is continued in their new home as we firmly believe their having been fed this diet their whole lives is what has kept them so young, fit and healthy, plus they really love it! We provide full advice and support as standard for anyone who is new to rawfeeding dogs or holistic priniciples.
Dog Adoption Info
Maggie and Kaya both currently weighs around 26kg, and Maggie turned 9 years old in October 2021 whereas Kaya turned 9 years old in March 2022.
Homecheck by your chosen dogs applies to see if they like their new home! Our Dog Adoption process involves several visits to get to know your dogs, and for your dogs to get to know you, so that the rehoming is not a shock away from all that they know and is simply a natural transition to their new family. We find that this helps our rescue dogs to settle into their new home with less stress and anxiety and makes for much more successful adoptions.
For this reason, we only rehome within travelling distance of our base in West Wales at the moment. Full lifetime rescue backup and adoption contract applies, so if for any reason our dog is not suitable or circumstances change, we require the dog to be returned to us.

Please share this on social media with your raw fed dog friends to help us find Maggie and Kaya their very special people, thank you!
** We are just a very small team here in the UK, so we are currently only able to consider adopters within travelling distance of our base in West Wales, due to the practicalities of families getting to know their chosen dog and also journey times for post-adoption back-up and support from our dog sanctuary. We apologise if this leads to disappointment, however we have found through experience that more local dog adoptions do not overstretch our limited resources. Thank you for your understanding!
